I came across this photo recently and reflected on its appropriateness. Such beauty, such honesty and connectedness, yet at the same time a strong hint of questioning and uncertainty.
Families go through growth, and with that comes confusion. The answers are unclear. The questions are hard to formulate. An answer comes only to be followed by another question lacking an answer.
How does one traverse these waters?
I believe it's in first nurturing one's own strength - physical, spiritual, emotional, psychological, whatever. Next, build relationships with friends and family members. Third, challenge your existential being by being honest with yourself. This is a quiet journey shared with no one else.
In the end, there is hopefully inner peace as well as a peaceful relationship with those who matter most to you.
Transitions are invariably difficult, but their outcome can be joy.
