Let's start with Iceland

Knowing that I was going to Scotland with Phoebe, I asked my daughter Jessica if she would like to plan a trip with me with her boys sometime in August. After endless dithering, it was decided that we would fly to Iceland for a few days before proceding onto Copenhagen for another few days. As always, the trip is just the right length but far too short overall. I have to convince the boys that they want to spend several months overseas. After all, I did! .....


A number of years ago, I flew to Europe with a layover in Iceland for refueling that ended up being a three-day in-depth tour of this incredible country. I saw where continents are separating and banana trees are growing. It was incredible and memorable.


We will be based in Iceland's capital and head out for day trips. Who know what the current volcanic eruption will bring!



Then we'll take off for Copenhagen for a completely different experience. This is going to be wonderful!
