Japan

Several years ago I started taking Avery to the ImagineIf Library in Kalispell every week for Chinese lessons with "River." He wanted to learn Chinese. He was infatuated. A year or so ago he switched to Japanese and started weekly online lessons. When he and I and his family were in Missoula a few weeks ago, he encountered a Japanese speaker with whom he could converse. It was impressive!

For some time now he has wanted to go to Japan. What he describes as his Japanese adventure reminds me of my fantastical visions of travels through Europe when I was a teenager. Oh, the thrill of adventure!

Now that I am a grandparent with resources accumulated through decades of work, it gives me huge pleasure to attempt to satisfy his vision. May he return with stars in his eyes!
